This wedding will always hold a special place in my heart because it was the first wedding I planned after coming home from a five-year adventure in Las Vegas.
Shaylee and Daven were such fun to be around, and very open to ways I could supersize their ideas. Shaylee wanted a wedding centered around the classic peacock feather...Done! It was fun working with the deep colors of teal, eggplant and black, but since her wedding was in the spring, we added apple green and splashes of gold to keep everything fresh.
We kept the style very clean and classic, with a modern twist...adding ribbons, swarovski crystals, and peacock feathers to the custom multi-piece invitations.
The flowers were all designed by yours truly, and we decided on phalaenopsis orchids in white, apple green and eggplant to keep a light, spring feel.
I personally knew the cake makers, and assisted in designing a unique tiered tower topped with...a peacock! Cupcakes were provided for all their guests after a satisfying meal of beef tips with au jus, loaded mashed potatoes, fresh baked rolls, and a wedge salad...YUM!
The rest of the evening was filled with lots of music, dancing, and laughter...and the littles even got in on the action!
