When Meagan mentioned she wanted burlap flowers and a rustic theme, I have to admit, I was excited! I was eager to design some new flowers and build some new crates for an exciting cake display. She mentioned in passing that she LOVED Dr. Who....Whaaat? Dr. Who? I seriously knew nothing about the show that harbors a cult following. Research ensued. I just had to figure out a way to give them the best of both worlds. Then panic set in. How to tastefully combine a dude who flies around in space inside a phone booth with a potato sack?

I decided to emphasize the rustic and provide some subtle hints of Dr. Who on their personal flowers and cake. It was a complete surprise and they loved it!
This event was extra special because Meagan is Kirk's daughter :)
